Wasini Island is located at south coast of Kenya, known as the Swahili Coast, about 20 km from the Tanzania border.
90 minutes drive from Mombassa, Less than an hour from Diani and one hour drive from Ukunda. Opposite the island is Shimoni Historical cave.
The island borders Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National park, the second most famous marine park in the world (after the Australian Marine Park). It covers an area of 30km with extremely rich marine life. The park was established in 1978. Kisite park covers 11 square kilometers, while Mpunguti reserve covers 28 square kilometers. The marine area includes 4 small islands, surrounded by coral reef .
The bountiful marine life includes:
Dolphins, Humpback whales and whale sharks
Green sea andhawksbill turtles, marine tortoise,
marine fish like: angelfish, butterfly fish, damselfish, groupers, moray eels, parrotfish, pufferfish, rays, scorpionfish, snappers, trigger fish and wrasses

Outer Kisite: Diving at 5 to 12 metres. A great spot to watch different species of fish within one reef system. Offers a Shallow, long and relaxed diving.
A good chance to see: turtles, morays, lobsters, rays, pipe fish and Almost always dolphins.
Inner Kisite: The shallower end of Outer Kisite – maximum 8 metres. A great spot for beginners and refreshing divers. A good chance to spot turtles, crocodile fish and trigger fish.
Coral Garden/Pink Reef: Diving at 8 to15 metres. Known for the pink variety of soft coral. Also hosts a big variety of tropical fish.
Dolphin Point: Diving at 3 to 12 meters. This dive site owes its name to the playful dolphins. Many divers are lucky enough to spend their time here with them.
